For supporting big data research, we consolidate clinical data from transactional electronic health records and other systems into a clinical data warehouse. This allows clinicians and researchers to retrieve data from a single location. The use of Clinical Data Warehouse could provide a wealth of insights about patients, their medical conditions and their outcomes. This enables the identification of a patient population with common characteristics to facilitate clinical research as well as the management of clinical departments. The data warehouse could be used to investigate the relationship and possible patterns between disease progression and treatment management. In this way, other researchers can also benefit from the data to drive innovation.

We have also implemented a clinical document search system that allows clinicians and researchers to search over one billion clinical documents within seconds. Our Clinical Data Warehouse also facilitates healthcare interoperability by allowing us to securely share medical data with other organisations.
